After creating my website I decided to create a few of my band's merchandise, I did this due to most websites having a merchandise section, therefore after creating these t-shirts, etc. I tried to add them onto my band's website, however to add more sections to my website I would have to pay to advertise more products to sell as I already had my band's "album" on sale and I had my music video displayed for free, therefore I decided to add my merchandise onto my blog to show what my aim was when creating it. My merchandise would not be too expensive due to the band being so new, the prices would range from £4.99-14.99.
I firstly created a simple unisex t-shirt for the website, if I could have I would have written that you could order the t-shirts in sizes XS, S, M, L and XL in white, grey or black, it would also come in a cropped version too. I chose to have monochrome background colours to stick to the indie theme and to keep the aesthetics the same. I chose to have my band's album on the t-shirt as I would say it is a basic everyday t-shirt and most merchandise in my opinion look simple for t-shirts and as the clothing merch gets different the more unique the designs are which is what I wanted to do. If I could I would also show different ways on how to style the t-shirt such as by tying the bottom of the t-shirt to add that edgy vibe to it.
Next I created a sweatshirt, as I said previously the more different the merchandise gets the more unique the designs are, which is why I have chosen this image to place on the sweatshirt. I would only sell this sweatshirt in black due to the black background of the image as it would blend better than it be obvious on a white sweatshirt that it has a black background which would therefore have an obvious square shape. Again the sizes would be the same as for the t-shirt to sell.
This cap was created to have something simplistic, I think that the smaller the merchandise gets the simpler the design should be which is why I have chosen to have my logo on the cap. The cap would be adjustable to fit round the back and it would come in black, white, baby pink, blue, red and yellow. I have chosen these colours to match the indie genre, then to make the band seem also targeted at young females which is why I added the baby pink as caps are in trend recently, then the other 3 colours are to match the band member's signature colour as shown on the sweatshirt above so that fans of a specific member could wear one of the members' significant colour.
My favourite design has to be this phone case due to how simple and realistic it looks designed, it is a great piece of merchandise as it can be for anyone that is a fan of the band. I would make it so you could buy the case for iPhones 6 up to the latest X and for Samsung's from Galaxy s6 to the latest version.
