Upgrade of Digipack and Poster

After doing my evaluations and looking into my feedback, I decided to change my poster and digipack. I did feel like my work was not strong enough and was perhaps letting me down, therefore I decided to update it and create my final versions. I will try to show on my next evaluations my updated versions however for now I will not be able to change my previous work as I have already published them. I started off by making my digipack stronger, I was never certain that my first version would be the final one as I was not confident with it as I felt something was missing and it was not as unique as my other products, therefore I decided to look into my digipack research once more to see what I could do to make my digipack look realistic. This is the final outcome, I decided to keep incorporating the idea of my primary colours to keep the band identity but to make it even more obvious, I also decided to move my logo into the background making my star (Russ) look even more 3D, I believe this has made him look more important and works with Dyer's theory of the star image more. Looking into more detail I decided to also add some information on one of my panels (black over layered panel) and added some trademark information and more about the record label, this is because my last version did not have this information and did not look like it was in the codes and conventions of a typical digipack. Additionally I moved my barcode to the back cover as that was one little important adjustment that was important to having a traditional digipack.
I then decided to update my poster, before I had created two posters as I believed that they both had different aims (to sell the band and to sell the tour), but ultimately both posters should sell the band and by selling the tour you are technically selling the band. I decided to edit my tour poster as I believe that it is my stronger poster, I changed my album cover image on the poster which already made a dramatic difference, I also added my record label and got rid of the social media logos as it was adding too much unnecessary colour onto the poster. To make the poster also look like its to sell the album I added 2 rectangle shapes on top of my album cover to make it look like tape was holding the cover on the poster and added information saying "new album out now" and where to listen to their music.
Overall I feel a lot more confident in my work now and believe that these changes were necessary and important in showing I can take on criticism and take on board feedback to show I can improve my work and make it look stronger and still keep to the indie genre.
